OVERSEAS PATHS

This is not a job board. Most people will not qualify.

HUWO is a domestic, trusted C2C hiring product for infant-care in China. If you hoped to “go work as a helper in Hong Kong or Singapore,” read this page first. We do not post overseas jobs, quote overseas wages, or promise visas or residence.

Mainland China residents and FDH / FDW

Hong Kong’s Foreign Domestic Helper scheme and Singapore’s FDW work-permit source list are not built for mainland Chinese residents. HUWO will not list those jobs or collect fees to “send you there.”

Hong Kong SAR

Not a mainland FDH/FDW route

Foreign Domestic Helper (FDH): standard contract plus licensed agencies; typical source countries are the Philippines and Indonesia.

The standard FDH route is generally not open to mainland Chinese residents.

HUWO may: Explain the rules and warn against scams. Language prep is only relevant if someone already has another lawful status.

HUWO will not: No “go work as a helper in Hong Kong” job board. No placement fee tied to a visa promise.

Singapore

Not a mainland FDH/FDW route

FDW work permits. The published source-country list includes the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and others — not mainland China.

Mainland caregivers cannot be sent in bulk on FDW permits.

HUWO may: Honest eligibility notes. Hiring in Singapore requires a local licensed EA. HUWO is not that market.

HUWO will not: No FDW job hall. No listing mainland supply as if it were eligible FDW labor.

United States

Narrow door only

J-1 Au Pair (about ages 18–26) must go through a Department of State designated sponsor. Local legal workers use local matching platforms.

Au Pair may be possible only for the young-adult band. “Go be a nanny in the US” at age 30–45 almost never has a work visa.

HUWO may: Age/language pre-screen, then a referral to a designated sponsor if a partner exists. HUWO does not issue DS-2019.

HUWO will not: No H-2B / EB-3 “nanny visa” claims. HUWO is not the overseas employer.

Canada

Narrow door only

Home-care pilots typically need language (about CLB 4+), education, and a family or eligible-institution employer. Recruiters cannot be the employer.

Qualified people may apply. Quotas and windows change. This is not a guaranteed path.

HUWO may: Language and document checklists; English résumé notes; referral to a licensed adviser or a family employer if a partner exists.

HUWO will not: No permanent-residence guarantee. No “agency hire” dressed up as a qualifying employer.

A more real “international” path — no visa

Households in Hangzhou and Shanghai that are returnees or expatriates often want a caregiver who speaks Chinese, understands Chinese complementary food and routines, and can also speak English. That work is legal in China. It is the résumé that later conversations about overseas paths can rest on — not a visa promise.

Next step: domestic national-standard assessment

Finish the Infant Development Guide interview, publish a visual résumé, then match Hangzhou / Shanghai families. Overseas questions stay on this page. We do not run an overseas hiring hall.

Qualitative notes based on publicly described rules (Hong Kong Labour Department FDH, Singapore MOM FDW source countries, U.S. Department of State J-1 Au Pair designated sponsors, IRCC home-care pilots), as of 2026-08. Not legal advice. HUWO does not claim embassy, police, or MOFCOM labor-export completion. Exporting labor from China requires a MOFCOM qualification that this product does not operate.
